Introduction: We will look at a spiritual truth that is recorded in all three of the gospels, and expanded in the Gospel of John. Enjoying a personal relationship with our Lord is what the Gospel is all about. I have found that, as I grow older, I have come to experience the joy of the Lord when I take time to enter His presence as a child. I would like to help you better understand why this is so important.

I. HUMILITY is the key to being LIFTED UP by our Lord. A. James 4:10, Matthew 18:2-5

 

 

II. Enjoy being DEPENDENT on Him.

III. Enjoy His PLEASURE by being TEACHABLE.

A. Luke 18:17, Revelation 3:20

 

 

IV. Let Him SOFTEN your HEART.

A. Ezekiel 36:26-27, John 3:3-6

 

 

Conclusion: We all need to set aside time to be childlike in the presence of our heavenly Father. Unless we do, we will lose that sense of His blessings upon our lives. Our text for today says we need to receive the rule of God in our live before we can enter into what is called "Kingdom Living". What a privilege we have received to experience His love, His strength, His teaching, and His power. As a child receives these things from parents who love them, He promises to provide these things, and much more to His children.
