Dear Members and Friends of Northland Bible Church,
Greetings in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ!
"Be strong and of good courage; do not be afraid, nor be dismayed, for the LORD your God is with you wherever you go." Joshua 1:9
"A prudent man foresees evil and hides himself, but the simple pass on and are punished." Proverbs 22:3
"… You shall love your neighbor as yourself." Matthew 22:39
"Remind them to be subject to rulers and authorities, to obey, to be ready for every good work." Titus 3:1
The challenges of the Corona Virus (COVID-19) have had us all wondering what we should do. Information has changed and developed a lot. This week, we received clear directives from our Governor that we must take strong measures to hinder the spread of this contagion. By now, you know that we are called upon to avoid unnecessary travel and gatherings of people more than 10. This affects almost everything. It certainly affects our church life and ministry.
The above Scriptures would encourage us to be cautious of a dangerous situation, courteous to our fellow citizens, and compliant with our leaders, who are truly trying to protect us. Above all - Courage. We are not to operate with fear. Rather our response should be based on faith in the Lord's wisdom, power, and grace!
Consequently, Northland Bible church is having to cancel the regular activities of Sunday morning worship time, Teen Group, and Kid's Klub. This also has caused us to postpone our Love Packages mission trip. I hope you will see that this does not mean inactivity or inattentiveness. We have, before us, an opportunity to be creative see new doors of opportunity to serve our Lord, our spiritual family, and our fellow citizens.
The Advisory Board met on Tuesday, March 17th , and formulated a few ideas and actions. Here are a few things that we are going to do first:
The Advisory Board also wants you to know that the on-going financial support of the church is important. You are encouraged to send your offerings by mail to

This time of refraining from public assembly will doubtless affect the April Semi-Annual Business meeting. Important issues concerning the next fiscal year's budget and the electing of new officers will have to be postponed. We will maintain our officers as a provisional leadership team, even though their terms may be ending in April.
Your prayer ministry and any practical help will be greatly needed and appreciated. Never has this statement been more relevant: "Don't go to church - Be a church!" Thank you for your fellowship in the Gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ.
Pastor Alex Lindsay, along with the Advisory Board.
